Jan Rocha, who has lived in Brazil for almost 30 years, and been a regular correspondent for BBC World Service and The Guardian newspaper, will post regular updates to her new blog, describing the wave of protests that has taken Brazil -and the world- by surprise. She will examine the causes which underly the protests, and the reaction to them by the authorities, the government and politicians.
