Council on Hemispheric Affairs (COHA)

The Council on Hemispheric Affairs (COHA) is a non-profit, tax-exempt independent research and information organization. COHA was founded at the end of 1975 to promote the common interests of the hemisphere, raise its visibility and increase the importance of the inter-American relationship, as well as encourage the formulation of rational and constructive US policies toward Latin America. Since its inception, COHA has become one of the most active and broad-based US private bodies dealing with the entire spectrum of issues and challenges confronting the nations of this hemisphere.
