Latin American Foundation for the Future is a UK-registered charity based in Cusco, Peru, with a mission to work with local partners to provide quality education and personal development to children and young people in vulnerable conditions. Our vision is of a Latin America where all children and young people have full support in accessing quality education and equal life opportunities.
We believe in the fundamental value of partnership: working with local people to solve local problems with local solutions. We partner with four local organisations in Cusco, supporting young people whose lives have been directly and profoundly affected by a wide range of social issues. Amongst other factors, the problems of poverty, high unemployment, family violence, alcoholism, lack of education, homelessness and teenage pregnancy, leave too many children in Peru vulnerable, socially euded, and lacking opportunities. Working with and through our partners, LAFF reaches out to these children and young people, helping them to overcome obstacles and past traumas, fulfil ambitions, enhance their personal development, and become thriving, independent members of their communities.
