A series of events has been organised this week in protest over the official visit of Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, which begins on 3 March.

Peña Nieto: You are not Welcome: Three days of continuous protests and actions to make visible the human rights crisis in Mexico, in the context of Mexico President’s visit to the UK:


March 3:

 Main Demonstration: at Downing Street, from 16:00 to 19:00.

— As part of the Demo we will have the Performance “Ayotzinapa en la Cara de Peña Niero“, by Luna Theatre, at 18:00.

Please participate in this event: you will need to first come to a rehearsal on Sunday March 1st, 4-6 PM, at Gordon Square, University of London. You will also need to bring an umbrella, a lamp and a picture of one of the disappeared 43. Please email Daniel.vb@gmail.comto confirm your attendance.

 

March 4:

— Seminar “Human rights violations and political repression in Mexico: the case of Ayotzinapa”
