The Peru Support Group (PSG) is a civil society organisation established in 1983 which seeks to promote the rights of the poorest groups in Peru. Its principal activities include: conducting research into human rights and development issues; publishing information through our website and other media; advocating before UK and European decision-makers on issues concerning the poor in Peru; supporting information exchange and visits by Peruvian NGOs / community representatives; and organising events to raise awareness of particular challenges and to promote dialogue between a wide variety of stakeholders. Our main area of work is currently on the extractive industries and social conflict in the country.
