Seven Heavens: The Venezuelan Cult of Queen Maria Lionza. A video short by LAB partner Ojos Ilegales, featured in the photo journal Cuarto Oscuro. The cult is the expression of Venezuela’s three historical ethnic groupings, indigenous indian, white Spanish and African, and the different religious beliefs of each. Maria Lionza is revered as a goddess of nature, love, peace and harmony.
